ScrapingBee alternative
datamint vs ScrapingBee
A long-established scraping API with a broad feature surface and a large credit allowance per dollar. Here is how the two compare, priced from published information rather than from a benchmark we ran.
Why teams switch
Why teams look for a ScrapingBee alternative.
Usually one of three things: the bill is hard to predict, a target stopped returning content, or the shape of the response is wrong for the pipeline downstream.
- 1
You need the per-request credit cost published before you commit, and it is not on their pricing page.
- 2
Your targets have moved behind harder bot defense than a rotating proxy alone defeats.
- 3
You want schema-validated JSON returned directly rather than paying for rendered HTML you then have to parse.

In their favour
Where ScrapingBee is the stronger choice.
Teams pick them for these reasons, and switching does not solve any of them.
Very large credit allowances for the money: 75,000 credits at the $19 tier and 8,000,000 at $599.
High concurrency ceilings, up to 400 concurrent requests on the top self-serve tier.
First-class no-code integrations with Make and Zapier, which matters if non-engineers run the workflows.
It has been operating for years with a stable API and a documented support function.
Where datamint differs
What changes if you switch.
How the two bill, and what they hand back, compared without a verdict on quality.
ScrapingBee's pricing page lists JavaScript rendering, rotating and premium proxies, geotargeting, and extraction rules as features but does not publish a credit multiplier for any of them. datamint publishes its full multiplier table.
datamint returns schema-validated JSON from a supplied schema. ScrapingBee's extraction rules return structured data too, but the validation step is yours.
Both bill only for successful requests.
datamint's credit model
$1 = 1,000 credits. A request is routed across transport tiers automatically and billed at the tier that succeeded.
- Static fast HTTP fetch
- 1 credit / page
- Dynamic headless render
- 5 credits / page
- Stealth armor bypass
- 15 credits / page
- Structured schema extraction
- +2 credits / page
Questions
Before you switch.
ScrapingBee gives more credits per dollar at the entry tier. Why would I switch?
On raw credit volume at the entry tier, you would not. 75,000 credits for $19 is a better headline than 60,000 for $49. The comparison only turns on what a request costs. ScrapingBee does not publish its credit multipliers, so the number of pages those 75,000 credits actually buy for a JavaScript-rendered or premium-proxy request cannot be calculated from their pricing page. datamint publishes 1, 5, and 15 credits per page by transport tier, so the real cost is knowable before you commit.
Is datamint cheaper for hard targets?
Depends on how often a request escalates. A static fetch costs 1 credit on datamint and a stealth armor render costs 15. If most of your traffic is static, datamint's per-credit rate is competitive; if most of it needs stealth routing, the 15-credit multiplier dominates the bill and you should price your actual mix before deciding.
Does datamint have no-code integrations?
No. datamint is a plain HTTP API with no Make, Zapier, or n8n connector. If your workflows are built in those tools, ScrapingBee is a better fit.
